The weather this year has been horrible. The weather forecasts leading up to Summer Fest were worrisome to say the least, and all involved were resigned to the fact that we would be getting wet at least once over the three-day festival.
But, that didn't happen! Instead, we got the longest stretch of sunny weather that we've had in the past three months. Three days of warm temperatures! Three days of dry skies! Three days that were PERFECT for Summer Fest! Thank you, God!
Thanks for Coming and for helping out!
Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2019 Summerfest a success.
Thank you to:
The workers---whether you worked one shift or the entire weekend.
The merchants and businesses who sponsored the festival.
Everyone who bought their raffle tickets.
All who attended---all who played in the various sports tournaments!
All who helped with set up and tear down---both went smoothly and quickly.
The City of Portland and the police department.
Every chair person---and the former chair people who came back to help out.
The Portland Cruisers who brought their cars to Union Street on Sunday.
Father Mike and the St. Pat's parish office staff and the school office staff for their patience and help.
And, to anyone else who did anything at all to help out....
