What's Happening in the 2018 Tent?

The big white tent on Father Flohe Field is the hub for all Summer Fest activities!
The tent will be bigger this year, and it's location makes it the perfect place to sit and watch all of the things that are happening around the field.  It is close enough to the Kids Karnival that you can keep an eye on the kids while they play games.  Sit inside where it's shady and watch the baseball games.  Enjoy food and beverages, too!  The Food Court is accessible from inside the tent.

Journey the Tribute Band

Who are they?  In their own words:  "We are a five man Journey Tribute group with the Incredible Frontman Jim Adkins aka "Ninja Dave". Not only does he look and dress the part but his vocals are literally second to none. His performances on shows like America's Got Talent and audition for the current spot in Journey shows his abillity to capture the audience!

"The multi talented musicians bringing this group together have an extensive resume playing in various groups most recently such as Common Cents, Re-Booted and Powerplay. The vocals of Steve, Charlie and Kevin are so good that you will think you are listening to the original Group.

"With the recent addition of Jeff Adamick on the drums "The Journey" will take you from the begining to the end and back with all the hits you remember!"

Skank

SKANK is a Michigan based rockband playing 4 decades of the most definitive "sleaze" rock hits ever written. It's a wild ride of "over the topness"

Three Husbands on the Loose

“Three Husbands On The Loose” is a trio of very old friends from Ionia: Bryan Kimble, David McCord, and Doug Trumble.  In the mid-1970s, they formed a band called “Glass Freeway.”

But then came those features of life like wives, kids, jobs, mortgages and such that began to pull them away from the band. So they each went their separate way for a while, dabbling in other distractions. Until a few years ago, one fateful day, the three of them picked up their instruments at the same time and started reminiscing. “Remember this one?” And, lo and behold, it was fun!

Three Husbands on the Loose have become a mainstay of the final day of Summer Fest, performing each year since 2008.

Hubbardston Dance Troupe

The Hubbardston Dance Troupe is a community based dance troupe out of Hubbardston, MI. They have 60 dancers in the troupe this year, including a younger troupe called the Sprites, which is made up of dancers between the ages of 3-7.

They dance because they love to and because they love to keep the Irish heritage alive! They perform throughout the Hubbardston area, as well as all across Michigan.

Come see us them at Summer Fest!
